Who WE Are
From all walks of life, from all backgrounds and experiences, we are truly a community of like minded individuals where no two individuals think the same. Our founders came together in October of 2022 driven by a passion for conservation, Koala’s and community. These three (sort of) C’s are what make us who we are.
What WE Do
In the southwest and south of Sydney, Australia, “Coola” is the Darug word that translates to “no drink.” It’s an apt description – a Koala gets most of its water requirements from the leaves they eat.
Coolah Koala is a not-for-profit organisation that was started in 2022 with a clear objective – to bring attention to the status of the Koala as endangered, and to show the world that making an impact can be done in so many different ways. Your time, your money AND your creativity can make a real difference in the Koala’s fight for survival in an environment that grows ever-harsher.
What YOU Do
Through subscription to our newsletter, you give us your time and bring awareness to the challenges we face in keeping our little grey friends alive.
Through donation and bidding in our silent auctions, you provide much-needed monetary support that goes towards habitat conservation, research and medical supplies. Anything that is contributed is accounted for – we want to champion transparency and accountability for not-for-profit organisations, and hold ourselves to the highest standard.
Through your creativity and your time, you can provide art for our silent auctions so that we can continue to raise funds to save the koalas in this age of global warming.
